Hot off the press, Empire Social have recorded a special track (included on ‘We Know The Truth’) for the soundtrack to The War Of The Worlds, a new version of the classic radio play that is being performed in Ireland by The Devious Theatre Company.

The atmospheric and eerie ‘An Introduction To War’ will be used as part of the intro and outro to the show, set to air this coming Thursday. There’s a possible podcast of the production being put in place as well, more on that when we know the details.

We’ve gone and made the remix version of ‘We Know The Truth’, currently available on our MySpace page, a free download.

While we’ve added the track recently to the podsafe music network and we’re encouraging the use of the track in podcasts, we’ve only had it available as a streaming (full length) clip on MySpace. As a treat, why not head over to the Empire Social MySpace and grab yourself a free MP3!

As promised yesterday, we’ve decided to release an early version of title track ‘We Know The Truth’.

The track, running around the 2:25m mark is now available on the Empire Social MySpace and as a podsafe (podcast friendly track) download via the Podsafe Music Network.

You can also listen to the track at Last.FM and via PureVolume.com. I’m sure we’ll spring it up in a few more places, but for now, go search and enjoy. If you wish to support the music, you can also purchase a We Know The Truth MP3 through 7Digital.

Of course, this all means we’ve to go updating the audio section, and the archives section, and the biography. Just as we were getting cosy in our new surrounds.

As a sample of things to come, we’re getting ready to push a sneak preview of title track ‘We Know The Truth’ from the forthcoming album of the same name. You’ll be able to get a listen to the track here on EmpireSocial.com as well as our MySpace and other networks online.

The web is a two-way street of communication these days so if you like what you hear, tell other people. If you don’t like it, tell us and we’ll bring it back to the studio. Well, maybe.

Because we love the music, and in a roundabout way would like the music to love us to, we’re going to release the Empire Social Podcast effective November 1st.

Not only that, but it’s going to go out on the 1st of every month - as a monthly podcast, funnily enough.

With a digitial release of We Know The Truth on the cards just over two months away, we thought it would be a nice way to push the album out over the course of a year.

So, each month for twelve months we’re going to do a podcast and in each podcast you’ll find a new Empire Social track. Of course, if you buy the album on launch you’ll be able to get every track. It’s fun in that way.

Consider the podcast a mixtape of tunes from some of our favourite artists and those gracing our iPods. We all work in the one room, we all sing to the same song, and as much as we want to show you what we can do ourselves, we also want to give a little love back to the acts that we’ve been listening to (plus it gives us something to crank up in the van on long trips).

You’ve been warned.
